3: Transfer Your Credits

Talk to Your Advisor
You may transfer Independent Study credits you earn toward a degree to most schools; however, each school has its own policies regarding the transfer of correspondence credits.  You are responsible for finding out if your school will accept these credits.  Talk to your department or degree advisor before registering to be assured that your credits will transfer.

Grades
You will receive a grade report when you complete the course.  We send an official record of your college course grade to the Portland State University Office of Admissions and Record.

Transcript Request
You may order official college transcripts from the Portland State transcript office.  Their website gives you details of how to order transcripts.
