Wikipedia is a very popular reference site, getting around 60 million hits a day. It is edited by volunteers from a "neutral point of view." Because of its open nature, vandalism and inaccuracy are problems in Wikipedia. So use it with caution. It has been praised for being free and criticized for alleged systemic biases, preference of consensus to credentials, deficiencies in some topics, and lack of accountability and authority when compared with traditional encyclopedias.
